From a small trading company in 1898 to a leading European group. This is the timeline of how we got here.
The Very Beginning
At the end of the nineteenth century, the founder of our company, Theodoor Simon Eskens, started a trading company for raw materials in industry at 5 Thorbeckeplein in Amsterdam.
Expansion and Move
Martien Seijsener, who joined Eskens in 1975, takes over the trading company. He introduces the company to the 20th century with expansion across national borders. The company moves to Ede.
Sales & Service
Eskens starts its own service department. From a pure sales organization, the company grows into a total solution supplier. The first in-house technicians are employed.
Entering the Tinting World
Eskens obtains the agency for color mixing machines from COROB. This is the first step toward the specialized division that will later be called ‘Eskens Tinting Solutions’.
A New Generation
All Eskens shares are transferred from Martien Seijsener to Bas Seijsener and Joost Poot. They establish Eskens Industrial Cleaning.
From Family Business to Group
The Eskens Group is founded, splitting Eskens Benelux into Eskens Tinting Solutions B.V. and Eskens Process Solutions B.V.
100% Ownership of Stort Eskens
After years of a joint venture, Eskens Tinting Solutions acquires the remaining shares of Stort Eskens. The entity continues as Eskens Tinting Solutions UK Ltd.
Central S.A.T. Rebrand
Central S.A.T. changes its name and continues as Eskens Tinting Solutions France. The office moves to brand new premises in Mandelieu La Napoule.
